Potions

Potions is a subject and core class taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is one of the classes the Main Character takes in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. Potions Class is taught by Professor Severus Snape.

Potions class is held in the Dungeons. In this class, students learn the correct way to brew potions. They follow specific recipes and use various magical ingredients to create potions, starting with simple ones and moving to more advanced ones as they progress in knowledge. A standard potions kit includes plant ingredients such as belladonna, and supplies such as glass phials and weighing scales, along with a standard cauldron that all students are expected to bring with them to lessons. Potions is a required subject for students from the first year to the fifth year. Potions is one of the examinations students take in their fifth year as part of their O.W.L. Only students who achieve a high O.W.L. score of "Outstanding" might advance to N.E.W.T.-level. Potions Class is held in one of the coldest classrooms at Hogwarts. The walls are lined with strange concotions.
