The Knarl is a magical beast that greatly resembles a hedgehog. They can be bought in the Magical Creatures Reserve in the Grasslands environment for 30 Red Notebooks. The Magizoologist level you need to unlock this creature is Level 5.

If the Main Character adopts a knarl, they will bond and feed it. Eventually this will lead to reaching a Max Level with the creature. During the Main Character's sixth year, Professor Silvanus Kettleburn taught them and their fellow sixth-year students in Care of Magical Creatures how to care for Knarls. Barnaby Lee owned a knarl he named Knarl.
