The Hippogriff is a magical beast that has the front legs, wings, and head of a giant eagle and the body, hind legs, and tail of a horse. They can be bought in the Magical Creatures Reserve in the Forest environment for 55 Red Notebooks, 25 Blue Notebooks, and 20 Gold Notebooks. The Magizoologist level you need to unlock this creature is Level 3.

At some point, the British Ministry of Magic asked the Main Character if this Hippogriff could deliver a package to an undercover Auror, as regular channels of communication were unavailable. The Main Character agreed and the Hippogriff successfully delivered the package while keeping the Auror's cover.
If the Main Character adopts a hippogriff, they will bond and feed it. Eventually this will lead to reaching a Max Level with the creature.
