A Fairy is a magical beast that's a small humanoid creature with large insect-like wings that are either transparent or multi-colored. They can be bought in the Magical Creatures Reserve in the Forest environment for 30 Red Notebooks. The Magizoologist level you need to unlock this creature is Level 2.

Fairies communicate by buzzing. During the Main Character's fifth year, Professor Silvanus Kettleburn taught them and their fellow fifth-year students in Care of Magical Creatures how to care for Fairies. During the Main Character's sixth year, Professor Minerva McGonagall taught them and their fellow sixth-year students in Transfiguration how to turn a Fairy Cake into a Fairy.
The Main Character had their fairy help them distract Professor Severus Snape in the Potions Classroom so that another fairy, whose wings were going to be used as a potion ingredient, could be rescued. The Main Character's adopted fairy and their friends helped create fairy lights at the Valentine's Day Ball.
If the Main Character adopts a fairy, they will bond and feed it. Eventually this will lead to reaching a Max Level with the creature.
