Cecil Lee is a wizard employed by the British Ministry of Magic, where he worked in the Werewolf Capture Unit. He is the uncle of Barnaby Lee.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Cecil is the older brother of Barnaby Lee's father. Their older sister is Leah Lee.
1984-1991[]
Cecil Lee meets the Main Character during their first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Cecil has come to the school to locate and capture the werewolf Fenrir Grayback. With the help of the Main Character, Cecil looked for clues about Fenrir's attack at the school. They started by interviewing Chiara Lobosca, the student who was attacked, Professor Rolanda Hooch, Argus Flich, and Professor Filius Flitwick. Chiara and Hagrid tried to give Cecil a more nuanced opinion about werewolves, but Cecil remained unconvinced and held onto his zealous opinion on the inherently evil nature of werewolves.
Cecil and the Main Character successfully captured Greyback using the Incarcerous Spell, only for Greyback to escape again not long after. Nevertheless, Cecil thanked the Main Character for their help, and presented them with honorary membership of the Werewolf Capture Unit, complete with their own uniform.
Physical Appearance[]
Cecil Lee had chocolate brown hair and emerald green eyes. He was tall and lean, with strong facial features and a thick brown mustache. Animals, such as Mrs Norris, reacted in an hostile manner to him, which he attributed to his "very masculine scent." He wore the purple and black uniform of the Werewolf Capture Unit.
Personality[]
Cecil strongly dislikes werewolves. He prefers to eliminate them before they get the chance to harm anyone. He believes that werewolves are bloodthirsty killers. Unfortunately for Cecil, the Werewolf Capture Unit often has trouble with holding captured werewolves. Cecil is a bad liar and appears utterly incompetent at his job. Despite boasting about being ready to kill any werewolf he meets, Cecil folds when actually confronted with them and in the end relies on the Main Character to try and capture Grayback. Cecil is brave, dedicated, and forgetful according to Barnaby.
Abilities and Skills[]
- Charms: Cecil claimed to be able to perform the "immensely complex" Homorphus Charm to temporarily return werewolves to their human form, although he failed to demonstrate successfully casting this charm.
- Transfiguration: Cecil was able to effectively use the Incarcerous Spell to restrain Fenrir Greyback.
- Tracking Skills: As a member of the Werwolf Capture Unit, Cecil was proficient in tracking werewolves. He could identify werewolf saliva by its appearance and texture and werewolf hair at a glance.
