The Bowtruckle is a magical beast that's tiny, pixie-like, and made of wood. They can be bought in the Magical Creatures Reserve in the Forest environment for 40 Red Notebooks. The Magizoologist level you need to unlock this creature is Level 3.
Description[]
Bowtruckles are hand-sized, insect-eating, and tree-dwelling creatures. They have long, sharp fingers, two on each hand, brown eyes, and a general appearance of a flat-faced stick figure made of bark and twigs. They are immensely difficult to spot. Bowtruckles guard wand-wood trees, such as Wiggentrees. They are well adapted for digging out wood lice. A group of Bowtruckles is called a Branch.
If the Main Character adopts a bowtruckle, they will bond and feed it. Eventually this will lead to reaching a Max Level with the creature.
Bowtruckles are often interacted with during Care of Magical Creatures class. Students learn about them in Year Four. Professor Silvanus Kettleburn owned a bowtruckle. Rubeus Hagrid gained ownership of a foul-tempered and untrusting bowtruckle named Needlefingers.
