William Arthur Weasley, better known as Bill Weasley, is a wizard who started attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1980's and was sorted into Gryffindor.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Bill was born on 29 November 1970 in England to Arthur and Molly Weasley. He was the oldest of seven children. He grew up in the Burrow on the outskirts of the village of Ottery St Catchpole in Devon. He was educated at home until he began attending Hogwarts. His younger siblings were Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, and Ginny.

Hogwarts Years (1982-1990)[]

Year One[]

Bill quickly proved himself to be academically strong and popular. His best subject was Defense Against the Dark Arts. He was considered one of the most gifted students in his year.

Year Four[]

The Main Character asks Bill for help with the magic that seals the Ice Vault in their second year. Bill teaches the Main Character Incendio.

Year Seven[]

Bill became Head Boy. He graduates from Hogwarts in 1990.

Beyond Hogwarts[]

Bill becomes a Curse-Breaker for Gringotts Wizarding Bank.

Physical Appearance[]

Bill was tall, thin, handsome, and had the red hair the Weasley family was known for. He wore his hair long and in a ponytail. He had an earring with a fang dangling from it. He wore clothes that wouldn't be out of place at a rock concert. He favored boots of dragon hide.

Personality[]

Bill was laid back and easy going. He was described as cool in both looks and personality. However, he also had a serious side and was a high academic achieve. He had a lively sense of humor and knew how to have fun.

Abilities and Skills[]

  • Defense Against the Dark Arts: Bill showed a natural flair for Defense Against the Dark Arts. During his time at Hogwarts he could often be found on the school's Training Grounds practicing defensive and offensive spells on mechanical Death Eater dummies. Bill earned an O.W.L. in Defense Against the Dark Arts and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level. As a Curse Breaker, Bill was highly skilled in counter-curses. He was talented enough that Dumbledore invited him to visit Hogwarts after his graduation to tutor students in defensive charms.
  • Duelling: Bill was shown to be a highly skilled duellist, as evidenced by how, by how in his fourth year, a fellow fourth year advised the Main Character to seek him out if they wanted to learn how to duel, claiming that Bill already was one of the most accomplished duellists at Hogwarts.
  • Transfiguration: Bill earned an O.W.L. in Transfiguration and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level.
  • Charms: Bill was shown to be proficient with the casting of charms. He could successfully perform everyday charms such as the Levitation Charm, Mending Charm, Fire-Making Spell, and Stunning Spell without difficulty. He could also cast Defensive Charms like the Imperturbable Charm and Cave inimicum, and teach the casting of them to others. He was even capable of producing a non-corporeal Patronus, a mark of superior magical ability and talent, given the immense difficulty of casting such an advanced and powerful protective charm. Bill earned an O.W.L. in Charms and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level.
  • Magizoology: Bill earned an O.W.L. in Care of Magical Creatures and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level. As he worked for Gringotts as a Curse-Breaker, Bill was skilled in interacting with Goblins and other magical creatures, such as Nifflers.
  • History of Magic: Bill earned an O.W.L. in History of Magic and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level. He was particularly well-versed in Goblin history.
  • Divination: Bill earned an O.W.L. in Divination and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level.
  • Muggle Studies: Bill earned an O.W.L. in Muggle Studies and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level.
  • Herbology: Bill earned an O.W.L. in Herbology and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level.
  • Potions: Bill earned an O.W.L. in Potions and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level.
  • Astronomy: Bill earned an O.W.L. in Astronomy and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level.
  • Arithmancy: Bill earned an O.W.L. in Arithmancy and continued the subject at N.E.W.T.-level. Arithmancy is a required subject for Curse-Breakers.
  • Spell Creation: Bill had been able to invent new spells. They invented a modified cursed barrier to prevent Death Eaters from entering an area. The art of spell creation is both highly complex and can be dangerous, thus showing Bill to have been a highly accomplished and inventive wizard in this respect.
  • Dark Arts: Bill possessed a degree of skill in the Dark Arts, being capable of casting dark charms, hexes, and curses. He successfully invented his own curse, a potent dark charm of the highest severity. His modified cursed barrier was very impressive dark magic. He was capable and knowledge enough to be able to teach students in his extracurricular Defence Against the Dark Arts classes.
  • Wandmaking: Bill has a strong knowledge of wandcraft.

Relationships[]

Emily Tyler[]

Bill developed a crush on a witch named Emily Tyler. He seeks advice from the Main Character on what to do. At first Emily showed interest in Bill, but upon finding out that Bill was shy, she insulted him and his family. When Bill learned about Emily's true personality, he was no longer interested in her.

Trivia[]

  • Bill is unlocked as a Friend upon the completion of Year 2, Chapter 6.
  • In Year 5, Chapter 13, during a conversation with Ben, Percy, Charlie and the Main Character, it is revealed that Bill absolutely dislikes Scabbers.
  • Bill is the only friend of the Main Character's to graduate, making him unavailable for Friendship interactions, with the exception of Drink Butterbeer.
