Arthur Weasley was a wizard worked for the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office in the British Ministry of Magic. He was the husband of Molly Weasley and the father of Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, and Ginny Weasley.

Like the majority of other members of the Weasley family, Arthur had bright red hair. He wore glasses and had green eyes. He had a tall, thin build.

- Charms: Arthur was skilled with charm-work. He was capable of producing a corporeal Patronus, which is a highly impressive magical achievement given the difficulty of casting the charm.
- Transfiguration: Arthur was highly accomplished with Transfiguration.
- Duelling: Arthur was an accomplished duellist.
- Nonverbal Magic: Arthur was proficient in casting nonverbal magic.
- Apparition: Arthur was able to Apparate at will.
- Mechanical Skills: Due to Arthur's interest in Muggle technology, and particularly automobiles, Arthur developed quite a bit of skill in repairing Muggle machinery.
- Muggle Knowledge: Arthur had developed an acceptable, although almost purely theoretical, knowledge of the Muggle World.
- Legal Skills: Due to his position at the Ministry of Magic, Arthur developed a good knowledge of Wizarding law, particularly in the area of Muggles.
